Susan Pares, 58, of Garwood, NJ, died on Monday, January 16, 2023. The services will be held on Saturday, January 21, at the Echo Lake Country Club, 515 Springfield Ave., Westfield, NJ 07090 from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.
Susan was born in Newark, NJ. She was raised in Harrison and Union, before settling to Garwood in 2000. Susan attended Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, Pa where she received her Bachelors in Science. For over 30yrs., she was a dental hygienist working at several offices for Dr. Paul Tedeschi of Edison, Dr. Brian Harding of Westfield, and lastly before retiring in 2022, with Grandview Dental, Staten Island.
Susan enjoyed doing Spartan Races throughout the country. She was an avid traveler, who went to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and France for skiing, and to Australia and New Zealand for hiking. Susan enjoyed hiking here in the U.S. as well, and did the Appalachian Trail. She was also a devoted NJ Devils fan.
Susan is predeceased by her father Gustavo G. '07, her nephew Gustavo '21, her uncle Gerard O., and her cousin Gerard. She is survived by her mother Francisca; her brother Gustavo A. (Giannina); her nephew Christopher; her aunt Martha; her cousin Gustavo J. (Gina), and their children Anthony, Gia, and Giacomo.

So very sorry to hear of Sue´s passing. She was a wonderful person and a wonderful friend. We shared many fond memories with going to see the New Jersey Devils play. She could always put a smile on your face with her infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by all who´s lives she touched. May she Rest In Peace.
