Susan was an amazing woman, adopted aunt to my kids and a special friend. She will be missed but I will cherish all the wonderful memories we made. Give many hugs and have a drink with one of your best friends (Chipper) up in heaven. Love you always.

Susan was my sorority little sister at UT. Since that time, she has been like a true little sister to me. During. the last 60 years, we have shared many glasses of wine, lots of laughter, many tears, and a ton of memories. She will be remembered by many as a funny, talented, generous, kind, and faithful friend. She will also be remembered as a fierce warrior, fighting the battle against leukemia with Grace and determination. As she went through challenge after challenge, she always had a smile on her face and a word of praise for her doctors and caregivers. Susan was truly a very special person. and will be missed by many people whose lives she touched in countless ways. She took a piece of my heart with her when she joined the Angels.

As her obituary mentions, Susan was a surrogate mom to many. I'm one of the lucky ones to have been adopted into her family gatherings with open arms. Holidays w Susan & the family (Dirty Santa! Bunny Cake!) provided many fun evenings & as Matriarch, Susan just shined. To say she'll be missed is an understatement.

Love to the everyone in the Patton & Baldwin families.

Susan and I worked at Unocal and she was most pleasant to deal with, always ready to help and always a friendly smile.

So sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to Susan's family.

60 years ago this coming August will mark the beginning of the truest, most meaningful and honest friendship I could have ever hoped to have. That's when Sooze and I became freshmen roommates at UT and then ADPi sorority sisters; and, for some reason, we were quickly deeply entrenched in each other's heart and life. We didn't keep in constant contact, but somehow when we did manage to connect, I felt like I could finally exhale and relax with someone I knew loved me without exceptions. God surely blessed me with Sooze's friendship.

I always knew her as Granny Susan. We would always go to her log cabin in the hill country and she would always have cooked us authentic Texan food. She introduced my brothers and I to Legos, an obsession we still have. I´ll miss you Granny Susan!

P.S. next time my gf and I go to a Harry Styles concert I´ll make sure he sings a song for you!

She was my friend. When my mother passed, she stepped in, not just as a friend, but as a mother to me & a grandmother to my sons. Her humor, empathy, intelligence, & love for others have inspired me to be a better person every single day.

Susan was a wonderful mother-in-law to our daughter and a loving grandmother to our grandson. She had a terrific personality, with a sharp wit combined with strong empathy. She was one of those persons that you were happy you got to know.
