PERLES-DE PIERRO, Susan. On Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Montreal General Hospital with the courage and dignity with which she lived her life. Loving and adored wife of Ralph De Pierro. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Barbara and Dan Cohen (Vancouver) and Josee De Pierro. Beloved daughter of the late Fanny and the late Harry Perles (Winnipeg). Daughter-in-law of the late Marianna and the late Antonio De Pierro. Proud aunt and great-aunt of Ben and Simone Cohen (Winnipeg), Dr. Ari Cohen (New Orleans), Tamar Cohen (Vancouver), Alex and Valerie St. Onge, Sara, Abbey, Jackie, Harry and Miles Cohen. Adored niece of the late Clara and the late Sol Kanee (Winnipeg) and Alice Goldman (Winnipeg). Treasured friend of Adele Orleans and Connie Wiseman. Special thanks to Dr. Legler and the Oncology staff of the Montreal General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Friday, May 18 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Temple Emanu-El Section, Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pointe Claire. Shiva private. Due to the festival of Shavuot shiva ends Tuesday afternoon May 22. Donations may be made in her memory to Ovarian Cancer Canada, 1-888-369-2972.

Genevieve and I are deeply saddened to hear of Susan's passing. She fought her disease with incredible strength and dignity. Susan will always be an inspiration to all whose lives she touched.

Susan was the first cancer survivor I met after my diagnosis (almost 9 years ago), she always encouraged me to keep fighting ... I am still in shock, I will truly miss seeing her in Oncology. Our love is with you Ralph, please accept our deepest sympathies.
