I met Sue in 2007 when my dad was able to come to Kairos from Midland. He arrived on a Wednesday, Friday told me he was surrounded by angels and love and passed the following Monday. I have never felt more compassion from Sue and the volunteers at Kairos. I know she will be missed by many. It brings a smile to my face that possibly she and my dad have met again in heaven.

While I only knew Sue for a few days at Kairos House, she was a true blessing to both my Mom and me. I remember that my mom made Sue laugh at a time that was a sad time. I was so happy that Sue told me about it. She will truly be missed as an angel on earth.

Sue and I were in Kindergarten together and all through school. We always had nice conversations when we met. I was always amazed at her caring generosity in her work at Kairos Dwelling. The PHS Class of 1967 sends caring thoughts and prayers to her daughter Kim and all her family. She will be missed!!

You are sorely missed. Rest in peace in Heaven. I will miss seeing you out in the yard. Fly high with the Angels my dear friend.

When I was growing up, I was fortunate to have a best friend that lived only a few doors away from me and a second mom that opened up that door to both her heart and her home. When, as a child, I disappeared into her bathroom to perform some origami on her shower curtain or started up a roller derby race in her basement, I never remember her getting angry or shouting. Sue was always so generous with her encouragement and support and was a role model for me regarding how to respond to adversity and unanticipated events with a gentle sense of humor and unfailing kindness. My heart is with Sue's family as they celebrate her life and navigate the challenging days ahead.
