Susan M. Stelmack

Susan M. Stelmack SchenectadySusan M. Stelmack, 59, of Davis Terrace, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012, at St. Peter's Hospice, after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Loretta Stomski Stelmack, and the late Henry Stelmack. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, she began employment immediately after high school, with the State of New York in the Division of Military and Naval Affairs for 35 years. Susan was a member and union president for CSEA and involved in contract negotiations. She did a lot of volunteer work for animal rescue organizations. Susan enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and adored her loving cats. She is predeceased by her father, Henry Stelmack. Susan is survived by her mother, Loretta Stomski Stelmack; her brother, Paul Stelmack of Schenectady; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 11 a.m. from the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by Internment in St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
