Dear Joe,
When Susan was in my Sunday School class, many years ago, we developed a very special friendship. I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the visitation and service for her. She was a most special person and friend. You and your family will be in my prayers -
Margaret Riley (Mrs. James S. Riley) - Sugar Land, Texas
and, Joe, - I remember fondly when Mom would drop me off at your house on Sunday afternoon so that Susan could drive both of us to youth choir - and then you could drive us yourself! Remember being 16? Youth choir - fellowships - Palacious - those were the days my friend. You will be in my prayers also - I know the feeling of loss is so great. God bless and keep you. Love and blessings -
Jeanne Riley Blackmon (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada)

Love is all I ever knew from Susan, from a young child to a young adult. I always knew when I walked into Susan's home, I was embraced by love. She will truly be missed. Until we meet again.

What a privilege and joy to have called Susan friend and sister-in-Christ. The first blessing during our time together in CBS...then later to share memories with Ruby and her years of friendship with Troy, Esther and Polly Campbell. Susan ALWAYS welcomed me in her home...I am forever honored to have been her friend.
Joe and family, may you find God's peace during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Ms.Stubbs. I met her when my father passed away, he at that time worked for the schools. She was very special to me. My husband and I rented an apartment from her on Peden St. She would come by and visit when our first child was born. She visited several times to see our little boy. We moved and lost touch with her,but she was always in my memory. She was a very sweet special lady to me.. It was meant for me to see this, because I don't usually read the obituaries. I wish she could have seen me before she passed. I sure would have loved to have seen her.

Susan's life touched so many in a postive way. When you read her obituary and see the list of names of family and close friends, this is only the beginning.
While Bob and I are not blood relatives, we always laughed that we were "chosen" relatives. Susan's mother Ruby Mae and Bob's mother Pearl were more like sisters, than cousins, and that bond reached down to us. Many happy hours were shared over many years and it will be these pleasant memories that we will treasure and that will comfort us. We send our love and will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Our family feel your loss as it is our loss as well. Susan was a special person to each of us. Her memory will remain with us all.
We love you all and appreciate your attention to her especially during her illness.
