Susan Poston Usry, 61, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born August 24, 1956, in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of the late Emma Buie Fahey and the late Edgar Jacklin Poston.
Susan was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. She was a dedicated and caring Registered Nurse at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and was known for her generous and thoughtful spirit. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling, Kanuga, and doting on her granddaughter. Susan loved life; she loved people; and she especially loved to dance. Her charm, wit and laughter were irresistible.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Stephen Usry, of Myrtle Beach; her children, Elizabeth Delirod and her husband Mitch, of New York, NY, Rebecca Usry, also of New York, NY, and John Usry, of Virginia Beach, VA; her adored granddaughter, Harper Julia Delirod; her brother, Jack Poston of Atlanta, GA; and her beloved puppy Thea. She also leaves behind many dear friends that she considered extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 11:00AM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home of Myrtle Beach. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Chadwick Kyle Cranford Memorial Scholarship Fund, PO Box 71238, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. An online guestbook can be found at www.msfh.net.

Susan was such a live wire! I will always remember fondly her sense of humor and the sparkle in her eyes when she made some sarcastic, witty comment. She was truly a character. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, but I have faith that we will see her again completely well and healed until then, please know that you all will be in our thoughts as she watches over each of you from above.
