Susan Zito Obituary
With open hearts and profound sadness, we share the passing of Susan Lynn Zito on August 17. Born in The Bronx, New York, on October 16, 1948, Susan was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose adventurous spirit led her to embrace new places, friendships, and experiences. Her life was enriched by the many friends who touched her heart and shared in her journey.
Music was her constant companion, and dancing filled her with joy. Susan had a unique gift for gathering nature's treasures-rocks, shells, feathers, and gems-arranging them among her cherished library of books. Plants thrived under her care, with African Violets and Orchids bringing beauty to the spaces she graced.
She leaves behind a loving family: her sister, Carol Zito Dailey; her niece, Reka Tassy; her nephew, Deyano Manco and his daughters Sienna and Carys; along with her cousins.
Susan's warmth, creativity, and love for life will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Susan's memory are invited to consider donating to The Center for Conscious Living & Dying in Swannanoa, NC, where Susan was lovingly cared for at The Sanctuary in her final days. (www.ccld.community)

I met Sue my first day at school in Lakeland in 9th grade....what a great fun smart friend throughout high school...I was very sad to learn she had passed...I always enjoyed being around her and the world is a lesser place without her in it...Godspeed Sue

I met Susan in Arizona and we made many memories together that I will forever cherish. I remember her sipping her tea as I drank my coffee and chatted for hours. We saw Bruce Springsteen together in Jacksonville, Florida and danced all night long!
