Susanne Whitton Obituary
Born June 30, 1931 in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of Edward and Anne (Hackett) Donahue.
She married James E. Whitton (deceased - married 61 years) in December, 1949 and raised eight sons. She was an active parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 1955 to 1996. Susanne is survived by Sons: James and his wife Deborah, of Fishkill, NY; Kevin and his wife Kathleen, of Missoula, MT; Gregory and his wife Marie, of Cartersville, GA; Stephen and his wife Susan, of St. Petersburg, Fl; Brian and Lisa Tedori of Brick, NJ; Michael and his wife Tina, of Tampa Fl; Christopher and his wife Anne, of Hopewell NY; Neil and his wife Cyndi, of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, April 5th and Dwyer & Michael's Funeral Home, Tarrytown NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, April 6th at The Church of the Magdalene, Sleepy Hollow, NY followed by internment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made in Susanne's name to St. Joseph's Church, 34 S. Chestnut St., New Paltz, NY 12561.

Our mother did a great job in raising 8 sons. We will always remember her love and sacrifices. I will always remember her 90th birthday and how energetic she was. It was great to see her talking with Annabelle and Catherine. You will always be in my mind and my prayers, Mom. When I look up to the stars at night, I shall see you with Dad. Take care.

My Mother was a beautiful, wonderful Mother, whom sacrificed and dedicated her life to her Husband (My Father), her Sons and her Faith in God. I am forever thankful for the love she provided me, her patience and persistence in raising me and her guidance in making me a better person.
