My dear husband Walter and I were neighbors of Susie and Amit. I am so very sorry to learn of her passing. Susie was a very special, loving and caring person. The whole family were kind and good.

My heart felt condolences go out to all of you. Suzie was a great resource for me on various environmental projects in the 90's. I was glad to see her community activism, something most people don't have the energy or patience for. She always would put 100% effort into her work and passion. I regret that I lost touch with her over the past 10 years. I will always have fond memories of her.

Our thoughts, love & prayers for the Nagpal & Vedantham Families. Today, the world is a little less bright because we lost a Shinning Star. Susie was my mentor, my friend and my sister. She hired and introduced me to the Environmental Industry. Much of what I've become in my career was due to her influence. On a personal level, she has always been there for me as a friend. She threw me my first baby shower (at the Nagpal's residence and she made Amit cook) after almost a decade of trying to have a child. She continually checked on me over the years even after we moved out of the Bay Area. Even on her last e-mail in Feb., she was full of optimisim, encouragement and grace. There is a permanent hole in heart because we lost a very special person in our life. We will always have her in our prayers and will remember her with love and fondness.
Amit, you are absolutely right, even though she wanted us to celebrate her life, it was with a very heavy heart.

Dearest Amit, Shriya, Ishan, Aunty and Uncle and Tigger. This is a loss to one and all of us. We include you in our prayers daily to seek her blessings and courage to make her dreams come true. Ullal and Vedantham family our hearts reach out to all of you. May her spirit shine through all of you.

Susie was my friend, my mentor, and my supervisor at work. She believed in me, in all of us in the group, like a guiding light. She always saw the best in each one of us and gave us as much opportunity as possible to succeed. She was so warm and loving, funny as can be, positive, and always there to lend support, even after she became ill. I learned so much from her about both life and work. I will miss her dearly.

Never could I imagine this for you and your family. I imagined you living into old age with your husband by your side doting on your children and grandchildren.

I imagine you each day as when I first met you and at each meeting and at each lunch and in each phone call. I imagine your dress, your hair, your face, your voice, your smile and your words.

I imagine each time we connected sharing our recent news of travel, work, family, accomplishments. I imagine the joy, laughter, sorrow, anxiety, and comfort.

Susie Nagpal was a force of life, a most remarkable and unforgettable woman. I feel so fortunate to have known her and blessed that she was my bhabhi. She will be dearly and much, much missed--and celebrated for the big-hearted and life-affirming spirit she was. I am forever grateful to you, Amit Bhaiya, for bringing this dazzling person into our lives.

I just had to write in my condolences. When Susie came to our house to ask if she can put her campaign flyer in our front yard, I just had to say yes. I wanted a woman to win. She also struck me as a family oriented person as she came with her mother, I believe. Susie is a big loss to Saratoga. Our condolences to her husband, children and loved ones.
