Suzanne Hadley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 7, 2025.
Altoona - Suzanne Elissa Hadley (née Steinberg), age 88, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, in Altoona, Florida. Born on August 25, 1937, in Appleton, Wisconsin, Sue lived a life rooted in faith, family, and heartfelt conviction. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Erskine Hadley and a devoted mother to four children: Robert Hadley, Barbara (Hadley) Bittner, John Hadley, and Paul Hadley. Sue's legacy lives on through her 16 grandchildren and six great-Grandchildren, each of whom brought her great joy. Raised in Appleton by parents, Daniel and Mildred Steinberg, Sue grew up alongside her brother John Steinberg, who also preceded her in death. The values instilled in her from an early age-resilience, determination, and purpose-shaped her life as a dedicated homemaker and steadfast presence for those around her. A devout Roman Catholic, Sue was actively involved in the Charismatic Renewal movement. Her world-view guided her interests and inspired her to support ministries and leaders that reflected her beliefs. Her commitment to Christian faith was evident both within and beyond the church community. Sue had a sharp mind and a love for friendly competition at the card table. A lifelong

Packers fan, she also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, bringing enthusiasm and strategy in every game. Outspoken and principled, she never failed to stand up for what she believed in.

In her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and pet mom to puppies, Gus and Snickers, Sue nurtured bonds that will continue to resonate through the lives she touched.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at St Mary of The Lakes Catholic Church, 218 Ocklawaha; Eustis, FL on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Noon. May Suzanne Hadley's eternal destiny bring comfort to all who knew and love her.
