Dear Caroline,
I am so sorry to hear that your Mom has passed. It's a been a brave battle for your whole family. I am glad to have met her in Whistler, when we took an art class together. It's always a pleasure to meet my friend's parents, I love knowing more about where (who) a person comes from. Your Mom was trying her hand at something new, and lifelong learning is a quality I admire.
I am here for you, always.

Dear Caroline, Natasha and the rest of my Aunt Suzanne's family,
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your intimate loss. I remember Aunt Suzanne as such a sweet and kind-hearted person who radiated nothing but warmth. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
Love Kristin

Dear Caroline and Natasha,
I want to express my deep sorrow for your loss. My Aunt Suzanne will always be remembered from the many times we spent together growing up and our trips to Hudson which to me were like visits to a foreign country filled with warmth, charm, elegance and kindness. I know your pain is overwhelming and my heart aches for the both of you. May your mother finally rest in peace.
love kevin

Thank you for posting the pictures of my aunt. My memories of her are very distant as our families did not cross paths with her and my cousins often, but those faint memories of her are fond. Remembering a beautiful lady who was sweet and kind. Seeing her pictures here brought them back vividly.
Sending much love to Caroline and Natasha

I did not have the pleasure to meet Suzanne but had the honor to meet one of her daughters (Caroline) this summer in France Menton/Nice/Monaco. There is no doubt Suzanne was a great lady who raised such a lovely daughter with values. We took pictures for you Suzanne, Caroline shot short movies and I hope you felt that you were in our hearts this summer despite the distance between CDN and France.
Memories last forever.

Caroline and Natasha,
Roger and I would like to express our sincere sorrow for you both in the loss of your Mother.
A story:
Stroud’s first “French” Christmas with Suzanne. Long before the girls were born, barely speaking any English, Suzanne in early marriage came for Christmas. Loud numerous and excited children, enormous amounts of gifts, cluttered Christmas decoration the Stroud family Christmas welcomed Suzanne. Mother Stroud’s recognized the huge sacrifice Suzanne made leaving her beloved parents and brother alone for the first time. Mother Stroud’s desire to please and make her guest feel at home and she made every attempt to make Suzanne welcome. Unlike today’s internet she researched her cook books and carefully prepared a traditional French Christmas Eve tradition. Unlike all other Stroud’s Christmas, we were introduced to our first Tortiere pie. Not exactly getting “it” the Stroud kids lost the “charm” as pies we were acquainted with, AND ESPECIALLY AT CHRISTMAS, were filled with items like apples, pumpkin, cherries, banana cream, but this special “Suzanne pie” was filled with potatoes, pork and meat unlike anything we could imagine as a Christmas tradition with significance. PLUS she was having her Christmas on Christmas EVE before Santa was to come. Suzanne in her most gracious way accepted the chaos of her first Stroud Christmas and was very grateful for the generous gesture by Mom Stroud. Thankfully she did not understand all the comments made by the Stroud kids and the pie...
A very fond memory many of us have of Suzanne and her utmost gracious ways!
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory of your mom help comfort you tomorrow.
With love, knowing we will be there for you both.
As Always

Suzanne was taken away from those who loved her far too early in her life. She was an extremely strong and determined woman who never gave up. I will forever remember our many conversations and treasure the times we spent together. I now that you are looking down on us and will forever be in our lives. Rest in peace Suzanne.

Suzanne I am missing you so much. We have been close friends for 25 years and been there for each other through good times and bad. I will miss our talks and our laughter and you were an inspiration to me, your friends and your loved ones showing such great courage and strength. Your passing leaves an empty space in our lives. However, you will always be in our hearts and thus will always live on.

I love you mom. I miss you already but above all, I truly hope that you are finally at peace. You were so strong throughout and admired by many for your strength and tenacity. When many others would have likely surrendered... you always prevailed time and time again. You are beautiful, refined, intelligent, funny and the best mother anyone could wish for. I will always miss your presence and our daily conversations as well as warm hugs only a mother can give. Although gone too soon, you are a wonderful person that will always remain in my heart... never forgotten. I love you mom, you were so brave and an inspiration in a myriad of ways.
Thank you for waiting for me.
Love you... Je t'aime xoxooxxo your daughter, Natasha

We have followed Suzanne through her lengthy illness. She put up a courageous and unrelenting battle and her spirit was always positive. We admired her determination to live. The conversations with her will be sadly missed.
Our deepest sympathies go out to her loved ones.
