I was one of the fortunate adolescents back in 1970-71 who had "Ms Henley" as an English teacher at Lane HS in Charlottesville, VA. A good teacher can inspire their students to explore the world, love learning, and do their best at whatever they undertake. Ms Henley did all of this for us and exposed us to a wider world of books and ideas. Beyond that, she was hip and fun and would invite groups of us over to her house to play board games. She was one of those teachers who leaves a strong, positive, lifelong mark on their students. We were all blessed and inspired to have known her.

One the most interesting ladies I have ever met, some 15 years ago. We did some home remodeling for her. We did some custom frames for her she put blow mold and blown glass in around & on. She used it all to put artwork in a Memphis hospice. She gave some as gifts of some sort to patients families. We even built a 7 foot cross out of 4 x 4 timber she had beautiful glasses placed on & around. Her artistry and talent knew no bounds.

Suzanne and I were at Southwestern together but, oh so different. I admired her singular courage to strike out and be more than I ever thought we could be. What a life she had! Linda Jackson Walter

Suzanne was a spiritual leader, authentic, so intelligent, creative and brilliant, all while thinking of others, working & speaking up for those who were in need. She is the epitome of a strong woman who made a difference for so many. She absolutely made Memphis and Calvary better places along with so many organizations that
continue to support those in need

I was very sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing. She was a wonderful person, and great friend to my mother. I always enjoyed talking to her about fly fishing. And, ever thankful for the art piece/wedding gift she made for us 20+ years ago. A life well lived, and with so many great friends. Prayers to all of your family.

Walker, Terry and I are so very sorry for the loss of your Mother. But what an interesting life she lived. To loose a parent is devastating. But I believe your Mother is singing with the angels. Look for her glitter. She certainly will leave much for you to follow. Bless you and your family!
