Dear Daniel, Joyce, Justin (and extended Families)

It is with deep sadness to learn of the loss of your Dad on the 30th of April after his courageous battle.

Our deepest condolences to all of you and families on your loss. His absence from us will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing he is in the presence of God, surrounded amidst angels, and reunited with your Mom. In time we will all reunite with them as well, in the glory of Heaven and God.

Fond memories we have of your Dad (of which there're many) include his warmth and hospitality during Chinese New Year gatherings at your parents' home, to conversations (Kiat and Mom especially) have had with him on the phone. As well are memorable visitations to friends, and summer vacations or outings in Canada with him and family from the 70's onward. Your dad's friendly smile, hearty laughter, strong Christian faith, generosity (esp in support of many Christian groups), strength and endurance (caring for your mom during her lengthy illness), love for God, sacrifices for family...all these we strongly remember of him. He was a truly good brother-in law and uncle to us, and it has been a wonderful blessing and great pleasure having known him in Singapore and here in Canada.

May God comfort all of you during this time. And may all of you reflect and celebrate on his well lived life and the outstanding legacy he has left behind.

Take good care,
Kiat (Alvin) on behalf of the Lee Family)

Dear Daniel and Anabelle,

Our heart felt condolences to you and your family.

May all the beautiful memories you have through the years help you find peace and solace to celebrate his life !

It's never easy. But he's free now in the arm of Jesus !

We are thinking of all of you and we do know that
In your time of sorrow,
Know that God is there,
He will hold you in His arms
And wipe away your tears,
He understands your pain;
He feels the grief you feel,
Just give to Him your broken heart,
He will be there for you.

Our prayers are with you and your family.

Much love to all.

I am saddened by the passing of my dear brother Swee Hock, but take comfort in the knowledge that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
He was a very understanding and caring brother to us younger siblings. I remember fondly my several trips to visit him and his family in Vancouver, and enjoyed his hospitality and generosity.
I will miss him dearly.

Dear Daniel, Joyce, Justin and all family members,
Sway Kim and I share in your grief over the passing of your dad, and shall miss him too. Being our brother-in-law, I have known him for most of my life and vividly recall how kind he was to me when I was a little boy. When visiting at Dunsfold Drive, he would always make sure that I get a larger slice of Vanilla ice cream which he knew I enjoyed. He would also play some children's record for my enjoyment particularly the Chipmunks and we shared times of laughter listening to them. When visiting during Christmas, he would also make sure that he played my favourite "Mama Sita" song by a children's choir. As a young boy, he always seemed larger than life to me and somewhat a fairly serious individual, but I could always sense that he was a caring and sensitive man, who had a soft spot for me. Of course we remain very grateful for being sponsored by your dad and helping us settle here in Vancouver in 1978. Over the years, I have enjoyed times of lengthy conversations with your dad, who always seem to also enjoy spending time with us. For that, we are also grateful. Though I shall miss him, I am looking forward to seeing him again on the other side of Jordan, together with all our other loved ones already there.
Jesus prayed "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold my glory which You have given Me." (John 17:24a)
Your dad, a.k.a. "Ah Chow" to us, is finally and truly at HOME!

With much love,
Sway Koo & Sway Kim
