Sybil Charlene Fernicola, 67 of Murrells Inlet SC, formerly of Raleigh, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 26, 1950 in Raleigh, daughter of Charles Edward Stevens and Mae Della Pyle Stevens.
Survivors include her father, Charles Stevens of Raleigh (Clara Stevens); one son, Joey Hamilton (Tish) of Willow Springs, NC; one daughter, Wendy Ward (Marty Sherron) of Murrells Inlet; one half-brother, Edward Stevens of Raleigh; two half-sisters, Jerada Jones (Ross) and Robin Joyner (Thomas) both of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Kasey Blais (David), Brandon Howard, Garrett Hamilton, Ashley Hamilton (Devin Herring), Trevor Ward (Mikayla Large), Chayce Ward and Justin Edwards; one nephew, Benjamin Jones and two great-grandchildren, Paisley Blais and Harper Herring.
Sybil is predeceased in death by her mother, Mae Della Pyle Stevens and a daughter, Stacie C. Hamilton.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601.
A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM prior to service time in the chapel located at the cemetery.
Burroughs Funeral Home of Murrells Inlet (843.651.1440) is assisting the family.
