I am so saddened to hear about Sylvia. She was such a strong woman and so hardworking. I knew Sylvia because my daughter Julia was Ryder's classmate at Ocean View and we were neighbors in UC Village. Even though, school was sometimes to rigid for Ryder, Julia always stood up for him, and they became good friends. One summer, Ryder came over everyday to play baseball with Julia, they were such good buddies, and whenever we practiced we would invite Ryder to come. I remember how excited Ryder was when he got his first baseball uniform. It meant so much to him and Sylvia was so proud of him. She was such a loving mom. If Ryder ever wants to talk to Julia, she would love to.

I will never forget my sweet girl❤

This is the cherished note from Sylvia received at our going away party in 1995. We loved her and her whole family very much. We're heartbroken.
