Sylvia was very much part of our family, even though we weren´t related. Sylvia was my mother´s best friend since college. She was at every important family gathering throughout our lives. We called her Aunt Sylvia. We loved calling her that. Aunt Sylvia was an accomplished, extremely bright, educated person who cared about people, and was there when she was needed. My family was blessed to have her part of our lives. This friendship extended to my grandparents and Aunt Sylvia´s parents. Sylvia valued the importance of friendship. I miss our long chats about the family and education, among other topics. I truly enjoyed her stories when my my mother and her were young, and all the fun times they shared together. My dad enjoyed being friends with Sylvia too. She introduced my parents to one another. Like I said earlier, she was family. I miss her. My children and my husband were glad to have known her too.
May she rest in peace.
Love from your adopted niece, from my heart,
Helise

I enjoyed Sylvia's travel & food stories when we were together at CBI events. We bonded over our husbands living in the same memory care facility. I'm sad that I didn't meet her sooner so we could have shared more stories. My sympathy goes out to her family & friends. Phyllis Cox

Sylvia was an amazing lady. In the few years we were able to get to know and spend time with her, she brightened everyone´s day! She would regale us with amazing travel, food and life stories. Congregation Beth Israel was better when she was attending services and events!
We will miss her smile, dancing with the tambourine and warm hugs!

I met Sylvia years ago when I joined a gym and needed a trainer who could develop workouts adjusted for surgical impediments. Sylvia became a great friend and when I was widowed, stepped in to really help. We all relied on her intelligence, high emotional quotient and ability to help us get through many challenges. Sylvia was also very independent and lots of fun to spend time with. Thank goodness for great memories. Condolences to Sylvia´s family and many friends.
