Ms. Sylvia Mae,
I'm going to miss seeing your smiling face when you would be in the car with Ms. Lillian as she came to my mother-in-law's house. You always had a pleasant comment and a word of encouragement. You took it in stride when she would tease you, sometimes unmercifully.
Over the years I came to love you and think of you as family. God has gained an angel and heaven has truly been enriched by your presence.

To the Marable and Johnson Family,
We will truly miss the warm and inviting persona that resonated from Mrs. Sylvia Mae. A stranger to none and friend to all. The epitome of a Matriarch who loved God, her family, her church, all people, friends and community. South Troupe St. has really lost a dear and precious resident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Marable and Johnson Family.

She always had one for us, be it in Valdosta or when Jackie came to VA. Though she is gone home, she will always be a part of our hearts. Love Always

Mrs. Syl Mae, as some of us affectionately called her, meant so much to so many. She is the mother of my best friend, Sonja. Therefore, she was like an extended mother to me. Throughout my life, I observed her faithful walk with Christ. Mrs. Syl Mae, exemplified the traits of a virtuous woman. Her worth was far above rubies. She extended her hand to the poor and needy. Her children rose up and called her blessed. Most importantly, she was a woman who feared the Lord and for that, she is praised. Heaven has truly gained a sweet angel. On behalf of my family, Pastor A.Q. Revell, and daughter, Shante, we extend our love and appreciation for the life that she lived.

To the family of Mrs. Marable, I am deeply sadden by the loss of this dear sweet missionary. She truly loved the Lord and working for Him in the St. Paul AME Church. She will surely be missed by the South Georgia Conference WMS. She served us well as a life member and we are grateful to God for the time that we had with her. May God be with you and give you the strength to accept His will.

CHARLES;SORROW TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS.MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.DURING YOUR TIME OF BEREAVEMENT.

There is no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. There is no pain that Jesus can not soothe; there is no fear that he can not calm; and there are no tears that he will leave unwiped.
I know her as Mrs. Sylvia Mae. I've known her since I was a child. She watched me grow up. I was a beneficiary of her prayers, hopes, dreams and sometimes chastisement. It was a part of belonging to the family of St. Paul AME Church. Mrs. Sylvia Mae was a part of that core fabric of that church; as were her parents before her.
I will sorely miss seeing her face when I return to visit. It is painful to me to think of her not being there to fix me a plate. But, I believe within my soul that I will see her again.
Family, we once had a minister at St. Paul by the name of Rev. S. S. Lawrence. He left these indelible words inprinted in my heart and I leave them with you. "Look up, not down; Trust God and be Brave."
May the Lord be with you during your time of bereavement, You have my sincere prayers and heartfelt condolences.

Madea, whenever we spoke, the conversation led to "when is your next trip, or where are you going next and we would tease and say that you have a lot of frequent flyer miles. Well, you decided to take that flight when you heard the Master's call. Madea, you have taken the best flight of them all; and to know that God is the Captain, Jesus is the Pilot, the Holy Spirit is the Flight Crew. Family, she is resting in the arms of the Savior, conversating with the Master, praising her Jesus and giving Him thanks. We will miss her, but the love she shared will flow forever. God bless and keep you!!!

The Lord is my shepard.I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me besides still waters. He restoreth my soul.He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea,though I walk through the the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil;for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.Thou anointest my head with oil.My cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.Amen
May your beautiful soul rest in peace.

What a blessing it has been for us to have MaDear in our lives. She loved the Lord and gave her service to Him. She had a silent strength and a sweet spirit. She has always been warm, loving, and caring. She never forgot a birthday, holiday, or anniversary. Everyone that met her was drawn to her. We know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Yes, we will miss her earthly presence, but the love and memories will continue to be cherised in our hearts.
We Love You MaDear
