Knoxville - Sylvia "Jean" Shockley, age 87, of Knoxville, formerly of Talbott, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a long-time member of Magna View Baptist Church in Talbott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Elsie Shockley; and husband, Bill Shockley. She is survived by her son, Randall (Angela) Shockley; daughter, Karen (Mike) Hicks; grandsons, Wesley (Morgan) Hicks and Wyatt Gadd, all of Knoxville; brother, Ronnie (Becky) Shockley; sisters, Judy (Tracy) Carter of Morristown, Mable Shockley of Talbott, and Billie (J.C.) Knight of Jefferson City; along with several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Parkwest Medical Center, Arbor Terrace Assisted Living, along with neighbors, Mitch and Tonya Parks. A private family gathering was held followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
