He was a great human being. I worked with him in the production of the film "Limousine Drive". He invited stuff members to his house for parties. We had so much fun... Good times.
Rest in peace.

Will this great musician. We formally met in our teens as musicians when he was starting out with a band called Equinox in the Bx. We connected again later. Been following him ever since and he introduced me to some top notch talents. Forever grateful for your friendship SIHP

To the family, many, many friends and colleagues of this nice man Mr. T.M. Stevens was a bassist. Mr. T.M. Stevens was a veteran funk-rock bassist who played with Billy Joel, James Brown (1933-2006), Steve Vai, Tina Turner (1939-2023), and many others. May the love and the special memory you shared and cherish with him show just how much your life was touched by him. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Mr. T.M. Stevens. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. T.M. Stevens. He will be greatly missed, but his talent as a guitarist will not be forgotten. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

Rest in peace, TM Stevens. Will always remember our funky improvisation at Warwick, Germany. Someone so special can never be forgotten. A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can´t help but live on in those it loved. In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there.
Funky, energetic brother you're ahead. Your music will live on forever.

Saw TM four times (mostly at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch) and I can't say enough about this mega talented man. The songs are Funky, Heavy, Beautiful, Motivating...just out of this world. His joy and wide smiles were infectious and if your neck didn't ache after a show, you were probably dead. I will miss you greatly, but I thank God for allowing you to share your great talent with the rest of us and for leaving behind, an incredible catalog of amazing music. Rest in Peace TM...Love You 4 Ever!

I worked with TM for a stretch in 2007, and we became fast friends. The kind of friends who feel like family. His mother was in hospice at the time, and we visited her. He made sure she always has something nice to watch on tv, and scolded her kindly (in that gravely voice) for binge watching Law & Order. Their relationship moved me to tears that came spilling out in the car on the drive home, and over the dinner table For two weeks we traversed life’s complex emotional map together while making music and becoming bonded for life. If I could go back and re-live any musical or life experience, it would be that glorious time spent with him. I’m gutted that he’s gone, while understanding that he is now free to fly to his heart’s content. TM, I will love you forever. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many. Thank you for being an inspiration to me I look forward to seeing you on the other side

we got to know each other through a mutual friend, Sid, not with us anymore either and from there we developped a fantastic friendship, He and Taka became my NYC brother and sister, so to say. We shared years of wonferful moments together in Europe and in the US for many years.
RIP T, hoping you can play music again where you are now.

T.M.... the sweetest, nicest person one could meet. His talent blew our minds when he walked into the studio, heard the song and played it in one take. There was no one like TM.... His friends and the music business lost a legend. You will be missed.

T.M. was my first boyfriend when I moved from New Orleans to New York in 1976. I first met him in New Orleans when he was playing with Donnie Hathaway. I had a wonderful time with him and thoroughly enjoyed meeting his family. He took me to the Bronx Zoo to ride elephants. We were both totally free spirits who loved music and laughing. See you on the other side T.M.

Love,

Estella
