I remember Tad from Parkwood Elementary School and Cub Scouts (his mom was the Den Mother). He was a good friend, a fun person to be around, and always very kind. It looks like he stayed that way throughout life. Condolences.

My heartfelt sympathies to Veronica, the kids and the entire Stenger family. I first met Tad at high school soccer practice when his family moved to Chambersburg in the early 80's. I spent many hours on and off the soccer field with him and his family through high school and adult soccer. Tad was always smiling and had a zest for life. He loved his family and cared genuinely for his friends and spending time around him would brighten anyone's day. It seems terribly unfair as it always does when someone leaves this life too soon! You are all in my family's thoughts and prayers!

Very saddened for the loss of a wonderful man. Very thankful for the time I had growing up alongside the Stenger family. I especially remember the time spent working for his carpet cleaning business, catching sand sharks by moonlight, and his bravery battling the stingrays in the Kiawah surf.

Dear Chris and Larry,
Deb and I find it very difficult to express our feelings at the passing of Tad. We watched the video, and not having seen Tad for a few years, it becomes even more heartbreaking. I guess Tad knows that I can not puff on my thumb and make my biceps jump. Not much biceps left anymore. This is a very difficult time for you, family and friends and from what you said, he no longer has pain. You have our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Deb and Don Corderman

Just viewing the slide show I recall Tad's zest for life! What a fantastic smile, I can hear his laugh still! When we were kids he was so animated always and his constant antics were hilarious though he sometimes caught hell for it! We looked up to him - he was the oldest between our families and whatever he did we watched reverently. Though the distance between us grew as we grew, my love for him never left and it is no surprise to me how he loved his family so very much. He will never be forgotten. Much love Tad, Mara

Mr.and Mrs. Stenger, Veronica, Scott, Sean, Kendra and the entire family I sit trying to find the right words to say to you all. It is with my deepest sympathy that I say, I am so sorry. There are no words. I am so heartbroken to hear about Tad in the last day or so. I have wonderful memories of Tad and what a kindhearted and loving soul he was and will always be. I know he leaves behind an untouchable legacy. Please know that you all will be in my heart and prayers. Much Love Meredith (Donahue) Gavin
