ANTIOCH - Talutha M. "Margo Martin" Tesmer, 83, of Antioch and formerly of Spring Grove, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
She was born Aug. 5, 1921, in St. Louis, to Alfred and Helen (Schallenburg) DeNoyer.
Formerly a 40-year resident, she lived in Florida for the past five years until moving to her granddaughter's house in Antioch two months ago.
Her first career was as a dancer for Billy Rose. She was the owner of the Lake Region School of Ballet in Spring Grove. She also enjoyed working in community theater at Woodstock Opera House and was known as "Margo Martin" as her stage name. She traveled the world with her husband, who was a musician with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra.
For more than 20 years, she worked at the McHenry Medical Group in McHenry. She was employed by Dr. Rossetti and the Neurology Department. She later worked at the Neurology Department at Highland Park Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Wiltshire of Chicago; two granddaughters, Camille (Kevin) Proper of Evart, Mich., and Willow (Jason Griffith) Wiltshire of Antioch; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Tesmer, on Aug. 1, 2002; and a grandson, Anthony Majin Wiltshire, on Jan. 9, 2003.
