Tamara SHACTER Obituary
On Monday, November 2, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Jack A. Shacter. Treasured daughter of the late Arkadi Umanski and the late Sarah Rosengarten. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Erica and Walter Bloom, Ronald Shacter and Maureen Silcoff, Abbey Shacter. Proud grandmother of Jordana and Collin, Noah and Stephanie, Matthew, and Jora, and great grandmother of Justin, Dylan, and Archer. Predeceased by her late husband Jack's dear siblings and their spouses Abe Shacter and Sarah Shacter-Cytryn, Bennie and Rae Schecter, Fanny and Israel Segal, William Schecter, Esther and Louis Schechter, Irving and Florence Schecter, Miriam and Merrill Spiegel, Rachel and Frank Welt, Joseph Shecter and Sheila Udashkin, Melita and Leo Trachtenberg. She will be sadly mourned by her many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and by all who knew and loved her. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Todd McConnell for his devoted care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Thursday, November 5 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt, Outremont. Shiva private.

"Tammy" as I called her was a dear friend-in Montreal and Sarasota-we went back to the 40's together.Jack was a friend of Simon,my husband also.She was a super lady and will be greatly missed.

Whenever I think of Tamara, I see her smiling because she's tap dancing. We tapped together for many years and she was an inspiration to all of us. If I have half her energy and zest for life, I'll be a happy person and all the better for having known Tamara. I will miss her.
My heart goes out to her family. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
