Tameka was a kind, gentle and compassionate nurse. I loved when we worked together on East unit. Tameka will be missed by all who knew her and heaven gained an angel.

Rest well, my friend.

Living up to her middle name, Tameka was truly a "joy' to work with, and she spread that through her actions and laughter. You just instantly vibe with some people, and we both knew it would be a seamless shift the days we worked together. I will miss her genuinely kind soul, positivity, and her laugh. It was that laughter that was that deep, belly laugh that was truly contagious, and you could feel it in your soul. It would instantly put everyone in a good mood. In between charting on our patients, we would listen to everything from 60s soul to 90s rap to get us through the shift. A game that we would play is who could guess the artist first. (She would always beat me to it!). Her gentle nature was loved by coworkers and patients alike. Outside of work, she was a very private person, and I always felt lucky when I would glean a bit of personal info. She continued to check up on me even when I moved away to South Florida and had mentioned how she would like to visit once I got settled. She was a true gem of a human and will be missed greatly.

I will miss Tameka’s gentle demeanor, her bright smile, and her infectious laughter. We enjoyed listening and singing along with pop song from the 80’s & 90’s. as we busied ourselves in daunting task of the day. We shared weight loss goals and ambitions workouts. We encouraged one another on our journey to live our best life now. I was so surprised & proud when she showed me a picture of her & Emma riding a Harley Davison trike motorcycle! I could see the pride she had for carrying her motorcyclist license. She was living her best life! Tameka was a true humanitarian. The world was brighter with her in it. @->——————

Tameka was a friend in high school. While we did not keep in touch, I always thought of her and wondered how she was faring. What a kind soul she was. Rest in peace, Beautiful.

Tameka was truly a pleasure to work with. Circles of Care has lost a great nurse, her quiet, calming personality will truly be missed. My recent contact with her by telephone call on Friday 2/11/22 will remain with me for a long time. I am very happy that I shared that moment in conversation, as I reminded her that she was missed and loved . RIP Tameka
