Tami went home to be with her heavenly Father on August 29, 2014, after a courageous 3yr battle with cancer. She was born the 9th child in Akron, OH to the late Kenneth and Leona Coontz. Surviving are her four children Harlen Shaw of Fort Lewis, WA, Rosebud Shaw (Joshua) of Fort Bragg NC, Kyle Shaw and special daughter-in-law Danielle Shaw of Savannah GA. who didn't hesitate to do her part. Mickal Ferris of Philippi WV. Mickal's dad Scott Ferris of Conway, SC. Her love and admiration of her children knew no bounds. Tami loved the outdoors, horseback riding, and taking care of animals big and small. She was preceded in death by her three infant sisters Karen, Christine, and Kerri. One infant brother Gene, and a nephew Kenneth Hucks. Her first husband and father of her children John L. Shaw. Also left to cherish her memories are her five brothers, Micheal Coontz(Lisa) PA, Creed Paul (Becky) NC, Terry Coontz (Valerie) OH, Jeffrey Coontz (Amy) OH, Danny Coontz (Cindy) OH, and three sisters Dorleen Shaw, OH, Sherry Black (Mark) OH, Jodi Coontz-Hucks and special brother in law Dean Hucks, NC. And many nieces, nephews, and cousins. At her request Tami will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in Uniontown Chapel of Faith, Uniontown, OH, Officiating will be cousin David Rosenburger. Special thanks to Donna Finch and Wanda Harris from Liberty Hospice. Their dedication to their duty, and love of Tami made her last days peaceful.
