Tammy Padilla Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 31, 2025.
Tammy Suzanne Padilla, late of Wellford, South Carolina, passed away on December 4, 2024, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, with her husband and children by her side. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service to be held at Village Church in Santa Clarita, on February 8th at 10a.m.

Tammy was born on June 23, 1970, in Norwalk, Connecticut, and graduated from Hart High School in 1988. She went on to earn a degree in Legal Administration from Catherine College, before embarking on a 35-year career as a paralegal, working with several law firms.

Tammy married her high school sweetheart, Chris Padilla, in 1991. After their wedding, they traveled together, enjoying their time as newlyweds. They were blessed with three children, a son and two daughters. Being a mother was one of Tammy's greatest joys, a joy that only grew when she became a grandmother.

Tammy was selfless, funny, and genuine, always going out of her way to make others feel loved, cared for, and important. Even during difficult times, she never failed to send a birthday wish and a thoughtful gift. To many friends and extended family, she was a second mother. Tammy's greatest pride and joy was her family, and she shine brightest when surrounded by them. Whether it was pizza on Christmas Eve, coffee and bagels on Mother's Day, or the last week of summer at the beach, she was always at the heart of those cherished traditions, making them possible and unforgettable.

Tammy was reliable, trustworthy, and deeply involved in the lives of those she loved. She was a trusted confidante, always ready to listen, validate feelings, and offer just the right amount of humor to lighten a tough moment. She loved calling her kids to check in on their week, often sharing the corny jokes she found or heard at work. She wholeheartedly supported them, never missing an event, celebrating every accomplishment, and always giving her undivided attention when they needed her most.

Tammy fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Rome to see the Colosseum. She loved watching movies-whether a cheesy romantic comedy or an action film picked by her husband, Chris. An expert baker, she was known for her crowd-pleasing treats. Holidays were always filled with the comforting aroma of cookies, pumpkin bread, and homemade fudge. Tammy was also the family photographer, capturing important moments throughout the year. Each December, she would compile those memories into a 'Year in Review' slideshow, complete with music-a tradition her family eagerly looked forward to.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Chris; her son, Preston; her daughters, Carris and Skylar; her son-in-law, Zach; her daughter-in-law, Tatum; and her grandson, Archie. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Kohl.
