Tanner Garrod Obituary

Tanner Cameron Garrod (1987-2024)

Tanner Garrod, 37, of Peoria, Arizona, was welcomed into our Lord's arms on December 29, 2024. Tanner was born in Chandler, Arizona on December 12, 1987, and grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. Tanner graduated from Mesquite High School and attended Chandler Gilbert Community College, where he earned an Associate of Science degree. Tanner married Candice on September 8, 2023, in beautiful Sonoita, Arizona. Growing up, Tanner loved racing go-karts and golf and competed on the Mesquite High School varsity golf team. Tanner always enjoyed working with his hands, which led him to a career at Honeywell, as a development technician. However, Tanner's real passion was created in his spare time, turning wine and whiskey barrels into beautiful furniture and decor. The hobby quickly became a small business (Double Barrel), and there was always a demand for whatever Tanner created. Tanner loved his country, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and bird watching. Some were surprised by his love for hunting because he loved every living creature he encountered-a true sportsman. Tanner loved his family above all else, was a protector at heart, and loved making memories. All who knew him will greatly miss Tanner's kind heart and friendly demeanor. Tanner is survived by his wife, Candice Garrod; his stepson, Micah; his parents, Todd and Maureen Garrod; and his sister, Spencer Emmons (Patrick). A celebration of Tanner's life will be held at Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV), 7007 W Happy Valley Rd, building 400, Peoria, Az 85383 on Wednesday February 5, 2025, at 11:30 am. Dress "Tanner Style", jeans, boots, and Double Barrel hat, if you have one. If you have something small that Tanner made or photos, please bring with you to share.
