Tara McDaniel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 12, 2024.
On April 10, 2024, Tara Alyssa McDaniel suddenly passed away after 50 incredible years of life. Tara was beloved throughout Palm Beach County where she made her home in Lake Worth, Florida after moving there with her parents in 1974.

Tara was born on May 3, 1973 in Red Bank, New Jersey. Her parents made the decision to pack up baby Tara and the entire family on a whim and move to West Palm Beach, Florida to establish an exciting new life in the land of sunshine and oranges.

Tara attended Kirklane Elementary School, Jefferson Davis Middle School, graduated from John I. Leonard High School with the class of 1991, and earned both her A.S. and A.A. degrees from Palm Beach State Community (State) College. She achieved all of this while having endured the challenges of becoming physically disabled at the age of 13 after surviving a brain tumor and stroke.

Tara volunteered relentlessly with many community service groups and spent her life devoted to her family and church. It seemed everywhere she went, she was quickly recognized, and became everyone's friend.

Tara will be forever remembered for her light, love and humor by her brothers Steven (Kathy), Tim (Jill) and Darren (Moraima), her brother-in-law Joseph, her nieces and nephews Jennifer, Amanda, Shalyn, Kyle, Allyssa, Kelli, Taylor, Ally and Alejandro, as well as her great nieces and nephews Juliet, Evan, Jolie, Madalyn, Michael, Mason, Izabel, Theo, Aurora, Kyle, Oaklee and Sonnet.

We know she is dancing in heaven with her beloved parents H. Neal and Alice (McGarry) McDaniel, her sister Nancy (McDaniel) Simpson, her nephew Joseph Daniel Simpson, III and all her loving relatives who have departed.

A celebration of life for Tara Alyssa McDaniel will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at a private residence. For additional information, please visit https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/lake-worth-fl/tara-mcdaniel-11766094.

Tara always greeted me with a smile and would pause and have a long conversation. She was a ray of light everywhere she went. God bless you Tara, you will be sorely missed.

First got to know her when I rode palm tree connection after my injury. Then we ran into each other again when I was working with her at Oasis compassion it's a non-profit. There's lots of memories too many to mention. But one thing about her she was always positive never faltered in her love for God. If there was one thing about Tara she was determined and she had a beautiful soul and Spirit that you always want to be around. Now that's a legacy to leave behind.

All I know is that Tarah loved dancing and my daughter Courtney loved dancing along side of her. She would always tell me that Tara would be her dance partner at every Christmas party.

I will always remember the time Tara came to NJ and we went for dinner on the water. She was a light in my life and I already miss her dearly.
