Ted Kraft Obituary
Ted is a graduate of Holy Cross High School (1946) and Southeastern University (1951). He served in the United States Army in the Army medics during the Korean War attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class.
Ted was a unique and caring man, a friend to many, and touched the lives of all who knew him. Full of charm and stories, he always had something interesting to say. Ted was an avid photographer and was always the one taking photos at any given time. He also published a book "Dear Shelby" which told of his trials and tribulations during his Army days. Ted was a Real Estate broker, one of the first real estate developers in Metairie, and the founder of Angele Apartments Company.
Ted was a charter member of the Apartment Association of Greater New Orleans, Past President of the YMBC Toastmasters of New Orleans (1965), member of the Knights of Columbus, and served as an usher at St. Francis Xavier Church.
All are welcome to attend Funeral Services held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, January 22, 2018. Visitation from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with mass to follow. To view and sign the Funeral Guest Book, please visit www.lakelawnmetairie.com

I still feel badly about Ted's passing. He was my "cha-cha" dance partner in the '60's/'70's within our group of friends. I have lots of wonderful memories from those days. I sure would like to get in touch with those old friends.

I am just learning of Ted's passing & I feel so bad that I didn't know when this happened. We were all such close friends & did everything together years ago. I still have his book, Dear Shelby. Was he ill? My sincere condolences to Ken, Angelle & Ted's wife. Gayle & John Manale

Doris, I am so sorry about Ted. I did not know that Ted had died until Mrs. McGuire told me but the funeral had already happened. I am praying for you, Doris, and want you to know I had known Ted since the '70's. He was the life of EVERY party! I can remember going out partying after Kim's wedding.

Ted had an amazing life. He was a doer, a self made successful business man. An Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He will be missed by his wonderful family and friends. His memory will fill their hearts forever.
