Popop was the best grandfather I could have ever asked or hoped for. He always set the standards of excellence in all realms from food, arts and culture to fun. He was incredibly generous and caring. I am sad he is gone but feel his presence still strong, honored to be a part of his wonderful, robust legacy! Without Popops dedication to his work, family and life, I would not be the person I am today. Grateful for the sacrifices he made and all of the times he fed us the best food ever! Never leave anything on the wrapper or plate is a value he taught me... this was our last meal together last June. He gave me his bible from his bar mitzvah so we read some of that together. Popop always defied expectations and set the bar for greatness.

Ellen just adored Ted and would tell us all about the time she spent with you, Evie, and your dad. Although I never met him, I felt like I did. Sounds like the world lost a really special guy. Maybe him and Ellen are having a glass of wine together! Sending love and condolences for this life-changing loss.
