I would like to wish the Kirkpatrick family my condolences for your loss. I met Ted several years ago at the Wing Over Houston Airshow. I am a volunteer at the Legends and Heros Autograph Tent Event. I remember as soon as he entered the Tent, many Airshow guests were asking for his signature. I want to pay tribute to you, Sir, and thank you for your service, Mr. Kirkpatrick.

Teddy and my Dad (Dale Collins) were great friends dating back to Fordson HS in Dearborn MI. He would always make it a point to stop and visit when in Michigan. My Mom and Dad stood with Ted and Barb on their wedding day. The photo at frame 1:32 in your video was my Mom Billie with Dale, Barb and Ted at a restaurant the day of the wedding if I’m not mistaken. Even after my parents passed away, Teddy would still look me up when in town. I am so sorry I found out late that he had passed. He was a truly honorable man. A wonderful man of God. Rest in Peace.

I met Teddy at the Duxford American Air Museum here in the United Kingdom. He was visiting as a WW2 USAAF veteran of the 379th BG (Heavy) Kimbolton. At the time myself and a few friends had our private display of US Army vehicles of the 379th next to one of the hangars. Teddy came to us with his escort and we had the most wonderful of conversations. We wore period uniforms of the ground crew of the day and Teddy had many photographs taken with us. I recall throwing up a salute for him and with a tear in his eye, he threw one back as he stood to attention. The following day he came to my home a 17c English thatched cottage where he sat in the sun and ate cake whilst drinking tea. My house is almost on the edge of the Airfield and he recalled seeing it many times when landing. We hugged before he left and I felt he had kept a promise to his buddies who never got back. I wrote a poem to which he placed a copy in his pocket to take back home. Another true gentleman and hero who will never be forgotten. I have an original 379th BG helmet with the 525th BS badge on the left side painted during WW2 by one of the crews, Teddy signed it for me, what a wonderful piece of history.
Teddy just went blue sky once more. God Bless.

Ted was my cousin by his marriage to Barbara (Brear) Kirkpatrick. Ted was so outgoing and always ready to visit a friend or relative. His service to our country has been well documented. I always loved to talk to Ted, and he gratefully sent me some personal history he had written. He will be so missed by so many

And your soul is marching on.

The angels came down from above. to usher you home like no other. There will never be another you. Your God whom you served in so many ways all over the world, had his children on earth singing with the heavenly host ushering you home as you lifted off.

Your life ministering to others even as you went to be with your father in heaven. At death you inspired others to continue to serve the a Lord and your story will continue to win souls to God’s kingdom long after your departure.

Rest In Peace sir. Rest in the blossom of your Heavenly Father.

I met Mr. Teddy in 2018 at the Shell retirees luncheon, we became fast friends. He invited us to sit at his table where we joined him each year after that until he was not able to attend. We stayed in touch by phone and Facebook after that. What a wonderful life he lived!
My husband and I send our condolences to his entire family, may you be comforted in the coming days.

So sorry to learn of his death. It is a loss for all of us. The world was a better place with Ted in it.
