I was truly blessed with the opportunity of working with Terry, who was endowed with a most loving care, concern and interest in other people's welfare. I'm deeply saddened with the loss of a true friend but I look forward to seeing him again. Rest in God's eternal peace, Terry, where you are with your beloved Maree.

Deeply saddened by the passing of a true gentleman as well as a gentle man. He was a wonderful educator, whom I had the privilege of knowing as a student during my time at Domremy College, where even today he is long remembered. I'm sad I won't be able to attend the celebration of his life today but am praying for his peaceful repose and the comfort of his family at this time of grief. Rest in Peace Mr B, you've earned your heavenly rest. Ana Pintos former student

He had the rare gift of making people feel at ease in many situations; and a deep and genuine interest in the welfare and success of students and teachers alike.

I have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Blanchard as the principal during my time at St Leo's. I will remember him as a warm, loving and charismatic man who cared about and took a genuine interest in others. He once visited during choir practice on a frosty morning (at 7:30 am way down at Block D) I doubt we were that good with limited warmup but, we couldn't help but notice that he had tears in his eyes after our rehearsing a song. A good man who inspired just by being present, we shall sorely miss.

One of the most selfless persons I have had the pleasure to know.

Mr Blanchard was my favourite teacher of all time and taught me at Domremy Collage Five Dock. His short modelling stint in a mens clothing catalogue didn't go unnoticed by our class in the '70s and and we all "struck a pose" as he walked in the classroom. His laughter, kindness, care and compassion I look back on with such fondness and gratitude. I was lucky enough to bump into him while he was donating blood and then a few years later in Sydney. Still so recognisable, still the most gentlemanly of men. He adored Maree and whilst I send my heartfelt sympathies to their family, I know they are happily together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr Blanchard was my principal at St Leo's College. He was a very special man - caring and compassionate, enthusiastic and interested in his students.
My memories of him are of his presence - he took time to walk around the school and talk to people, rather than hiding away in his office, and he was frequently supporting the school's representatives at sporting events.
I bumped into him in Sydney's CBD years after finishing school, and he remembered me and my family. He took the time to stop and have a chat, with interest in what we were all doing with our lives after school.
My siblings and I will always remember him with warmth and fondness, and we hope that his time after retirement was rich and fulfilling, as he thoroughly deserved.
