Teresa Del Carmen Ortega

Our beloved sister, Teresa Del Carmen Ortega was called unexpectedly to heaven by our Lord on November 27, 2018. Terry was known affectionately as "Sweetie" by all those who loved her. Born on July 14, 1960, she was 58 years old, and a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas. She will be remembered for her faith, and her life's devotion to the care of our mother, her family, her church and community. Although she never married or had children of her own, she was like a mother to her many nieces and nephews. On the year they were born, she would hand-craft a Christmas stocking for the newest members of her large extended family. On occasions, she would make her famous biscuits, which will always be treasured memories of family time. She is survived by her nine siblings: Ramon Ortega Jr., Luis Ortega, Lilia Margarita Arredondo, Maria Elena Lopez, Andres Ortega Sr., Miguel Ortega, Francisco Ortega, David Felipe Ortega Sr., and Roberto Ortega Sr. Sweetie will forever be remembered for her kindness, her beautiful smile and laughter. Funeral Mass at St Jude Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10am. Interment to follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery.
