Terese Forest Obituary
Terese "Terre" Forest, 65, of Troy, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Born on April 20, 1960, graduated from Belleville High School in '78. Terre lived a life defined by resilience, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her warmth, gentle spirit, and sense of humor that could light up any room. Terre will be remembered for her generous heart and the deep love she showed to everyone blessed to know her.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Patricia Forest; her devoted son, Dennis Himes, and his wife Katrina; and her cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Aubrey, who brought immense joy to her life. Terre also leaves behind her loving sisters, Gena Meadows (David) and Vickie Mills (Arthur); her nephews, Jeremy Mills (Haley) and Nicholas Meadows; and her niece, Samantha Mills, with whom she shared a special bond.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Forest, and her beloved daughter, Danielle Himes, whose memory she carried tenderly in her heart every day.
Family and friends will forever remember Terre's strength, her quiet wisdom, and her enduring love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to MADD of Michigan https://madd.org/michigan/ in memory of Terre.

Dear Pat and family,
You taught your daughters to be thoughtful and generous, and Terre was. When you suggested to drive me to see my husband David at ShorePoint in St. Clair Shores she knew the area well and navigated us there.
After he passed, she attended his visitation and funeral. When she did the cooking she made more than enough to feed several people and she always invited me to join you so I would not have to eat alone.
David's birthday was the same date as Danielle's so we always celebrated by eating out. The last time I saw her was July 8, 2025. RIP Terre! Jackie
