Age 56

Fremont, NE. Died Friday, June 13, 2014 as a result of an auto accident. Terry was born September 3, 1957 in Omaha, NE to Arnold and Marjorie (Sterba) Lessig. He grew up in Omaha and attended Bryan High School. He was a 1975 graduate. Terry served in the U.S. Air Force from July 1, 1975 to June 29, 1979. After the service, he attended Metro Tech Community College, where he received his Associate Degree in Science and Automotive Technology. He married Marla Fox on December 27, 1983. Terry worked as an auto mechanic at Atchley Ford in Omaha. He was employed by Smeal Fire Apparatus in Snyder, NE until 2010, and then worked for Nebraska Irrigated Seed. Terry loved football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, Fords and was a Mustang enthusiast. He is survived by daughter, Laura Lynne Lessig of Fremont; his parents, Arnold and Marjorie Lessig of Fremont. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Diana Sterba and brother, Tony Lessig; and Marla Fox Lessig.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11am, Friday, June 20, 2014 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Dan Heuer of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont will officiate. VISITATION on Friday from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30pm on Friday at Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha with military honors conducted by members of V.F.W. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. When I was a young girl, my mother, Laura Lee (Caldwell) Langfeld, would bring me and my sister over to visit. We had so much fun playing with Terry and Tony. Those are precious memories I'll always have. My Mom and sister, Kim (Caniglia) Snyder, wanted me to extend their sympathies as well.
