Jane and family, a wistful sadness overcame me when I read of the death of Terry. Colleagues for only a brief period of time, our paths would cross occasionally and Terry's wit and humor would rise to the surface as he shared the events of his life since last we met. Always joyful about his family, he exuded an aura of optimism and gratitude about life and the mysteries held therein. I hope all of the memories you have of the great times together with Terry will ease some of the pain you surely now feel.

"Uncle Terry" was a McKnight through and through - a raconteur, a teller of tales, a wit, a strong and open heart, a light in any room. Our hearts are with the whole family; we are thinking of you, and praying with you. All our love.

A wife, children, extended family, and many others have lost an amazing man. Terry was always most friendly whenever we spoke during church social hours. His speaking voice was resonant and when he proclaimed the readings, his inflection, clarity of speech, and speed were most appropriate. More so, it was so gratifying to see (or hear) him singing along with the music. He was a man who was completely in tune with his life and contributed so very, very much. My prayers for his soul to go swiftly to Heaven, for thanksgiving of good memories, and strength for Jane and the family.

It saddened me to see that we have lost a very special man! I remember well our trip to Quebec city and how much I enjoyed spending time with you both. He was a man for everyone. So kind and down to earth. Please accept my deepest sympathies at your loss! Prayers to you all!

Working with Terry in support of our Vermont neighbors gave me the opportunity to learn from Terry's enthusiasm, positivity, and wisdom. The entire state has lost a great friend and advocate. And we will always be grateful for having known him.

Terry - you were always hard to fellow behind at school since you even shone then. I always heard from teachers who taught you at the schools - "Why are you not more like your brother Terry?" Thank you for showing me my way in life and for sharing your love with me. I will miss you big brother! Love little sis, Colleen
