Terry had been a close acquaintance of mine since 1997, we both spent a lot of time together exchanging notes on speaker designed, his knowledge and love for acoustic research was incredible. I am very sad to learned of his passing. Terry was a very genuine and generous person, he loved nature and animals. I am so regrettably sorry not be able to attend his funeral service. My deepest sympathy and condolence to his brother Lawrence and those who are affected.

RIP to Terry

Until his retirement I worked closely with Terry through the 1990s on a number of chip designs at BNR (which became a part of Nortel). Terry was widely respected as a man of integrity and foresight, and his carefully designed "matcher" chip had an unusually long life in Nortel's portfolio.
I regret losing contact with Terry through the years following my family's move to the GTA after the collapse of Nortel. I'll miss him!

The last photo I have of him, taken exactly two months ago when we dropped by to introduce our son Max.

Regrettably I won't be able to come to the memorial reception, as I have an unbreakable commitment in Toronto that weekend.

I worked and ate lunch with Terry for most of the 1990s at BNR. Terry was legendary for never getting a bug into an ASIC (custom integrated circuit). He worked out everything with pencil and paper and careful thought and when he was done, it was right.

I kept in touch, but never in enough touch, in the years after he retired, and he often found interesting computer bits that he didn't need in the end that he passed on to me.

Terry, may you rest in peace, and for those you leave behind, please accept my most heartfelt condolences.

Terry had been a neighbour of our mother on Connaught for many years and was a help to her many times. We appreciated his kindness when, after my mother's passing, he took over and gave exceptional care to her pet cat who, for years, had been a daily visitor in Terry's yard.
