Loving husband and father, died unexpectedly from a heart attack on October 25 in New York City. He was 63 years old. A proud native of the Pittsburgh area, he grew up in Ingram, Pennsylvania. Terry leaves his wife, Regina Aldisert; daughter, Mary Kateri Laughlin of Nevada, Missouri; daughter, Stevie Leahy and her husband, Robert, of Dedham, Massachusetts; and daughter, Rena Kane Laughlin and her husband, Christopher Satti, of Rochester, Minnesota; he is also survived by his mother, Patricia C. Laughlin of Pittsburgh; and sisters, Ellen Ochs of Bethesda, Maryland, and Kate Laughlin of Murphys, California; he had two beloved granddaughters, Morgan and Rena Lynn Leahy of Dedham, Massachusetts. A long and successful career in financial services began in Pittsburgh and culminated in his most recent position as Vice Chairman of Bank of America where he led all of the company's wealth management businesses. Terry was a graduate of St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania and received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He served for more than a decade as a Trustee of the University of Pittsburgh, and was an active board member of the Urban Institute, the Brooklyn Museum, and other non-profit and private boards. Terry also served as a leader and mentor to the Bank of America Hispanic / Latino Organization for Leadership and Advancement – stemming from an affinity to Latin America drawn from his banking experience in the region. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the University of Pittsburgh, the Brooklyn Museum, or the Urban Institute. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, October 30 at 2 p.m., at the Heinz Memorial Chapel at the University of Pittsburgh, 300 South Bellefield, Pittsburgh, PA. A memorial service for Mr. Laughlin will be held later in New York City.

Gina- I am heartbroken for you and Terry's daughters on his passing. I remember being in your mother's dining area following a repast for your grandmother, when you shared with your sisters "I think i've found the great love of my life". We all hope for that great love, which you found in Terry. I'm sorry to be out of town for the Heinz memorial service. Please know that I have been thinking of you all week. May your faith bring you a little peace during this most painful time in your life. With love to the entire Aldisert family, I am, yours, Marsha Blanco

I am devastated to learn of Terry's sudden passing. I am so very sorry. He was an unusually kind and thoughtful friend from whom I learned a great deal. Losing such an exceptional human being must be beyond difficult. It may help to know how highly respected and esteemed he was by so many of us that his family never met.
