Terri Lynn Kvistad

Terri was so fun and inclusive. This was at Grandpas in Glenview for a GBN reunion. I loved her laugh. I'm sad to hear of her passing. It took place a day after I lost my mom.

Terri and I met around 3rd grade and we were inseparable through 10th grade. I think we could ride our bikes from my house in Heather Crest to hers over on Oak in less than 10 minutes at most and did it routinely to get new clothes and touch base with her parents. Not going to lie, her dad was scary, not in a mean way but he was intense and a man of few words. We stayed at my house during football season for sure:-) Her Oma and Opa had the cutest cabin we would go to in the summer and visit their bakery on the way if we were lucky. My sister and I speak about Terri often and laugh about the times we shared. I remember one time she insisted on wearing a bikini my mom had sewed for me. I warned her that she used the wrong elastic and it would stretch when it got wet and the suit would fall off. She did anyway and as predicted, she came out of the water clinging on to the suit and quite unhappy as I´m laughing. We did swim team together, we did Aquianas together as well. If I wasn´t at her house, she was at mine. My dad used to jokingly say he was going to need to get child support for her if she didn´t go home. She was family and she was loved... She spent many nights with us on Lake Geneva and Racine sailing with my family. Toots was like a second mom. Sadly we had other paths we took at GBN and lost touch but she was and always will be my sister from another mother and she will be missed. This is a picture of the last time I saw Terry with a group of friends at the Landmark in Northbrook it was a great reunion great memories and this is how I'll always remember you.

Chuck and Girls and the entire "Chick" family I don't know where to begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear of Terri's sudden death. I fondly remember our GBN days, working at same company in Northbrook, hanging out with the girls and Terri even vacationing with me and my parents. We've always stayed in touch with a either Facebook message or text. All of the memories I have with Terri will always bring a smile to my face. It is hard to describe a time when Kvistad's and Bocc's were raising our children and Terri didn't make us laugh. She was kind and thoughtful, and occasionally scattered. Whether it was grilling and wine at a block party, or just collecting our children from each other's houses. And I will always be grateful for Terri and Chuck's kindness and generosity when we lost Ana in 2011. Chuck and girls, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time loss.
