Terry Austin, 71, of Montpelier, Vermont, passed away on January 6, 2024, in Williamstown, Vermont after a long struggle with Neuroendocrine cancer. Born on May 7, 1952, in Montpelier at Heaton Hospital. At the time Terry was born The North Branch Nature Center on Elm Street was the family homestead. Terry aka Teddy by his family, was a beloved member of the community.

Terry had a huge passion for motorcycles and was a licensed motorcycle dealer. He ran his business out of his home, sharing his love for motorcycles with others. He was well known for his expertise and dedication in the field.

Terry is survived by his wife, Jill McKeon, who he was with for 32 years, sisters, Pam (Jim) Smith, Cindy (David) Singleton, brother, Bob (Liz) Austin and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Austin, mother, Margaret Garcia, and sister, Sheri Austin.

In his educational journey, Teddy attended Main Street middle school in Montpelier and later graduated from Montpelier High School.

Terry proudly served in the Vermont National Guard, where he made valuable contributions to the military community.

Throughout his career, Terry worked at Bombardier Railcar Manufacturing for 20 years and later was owner of TA Choppers LLC, a motorcycle sales business. His dedication and hard work were evident in his professional endeavors.

In his free time, Terry enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included classic cars and hot rods, motorcycles, snowmobiling, ATV riding and photography. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to express his adventurous spirit.

A ceremony to honor Terry's life will take place on May 18 at 1 PM at the Warren VT cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Following the internment, a celebration of life will be held at the Warren Town Hall from 2-5 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Terry and share stories of his remarkable life.

Terry J. Austin will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for motorcycles, dedication to his work, and love for his family, friends and pets will be cherished memories. May his soul rest in peace."
