Terry Baker Obituary
April 30, 1962 - January 16, 2022
Walnut Cove - Terry Lynn Baker, 59, of Walnut Cove, NC passed away after a brief illness, on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Terry was a great storyteller who enjoyed making his rounds in King spreading mischief and laughter wherever he went. Terry built and ran a successful landscaping business for over thirty-two years after leaving RJ Reynolds in 1989.
Terry enjoyed riding motorcycles all over the country with his wife and close friends. He cherished his friends and held them close to his heart. But most of all he loved and cherished his wife and kids and spending time with them. Terry was a special friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Franklin, and JoAnn Poindexter Baker.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Mechelle Baker; a daughter, Erica Veach and husband Koty; and a son, Samuel Grant Baker.
A memorial service to honor Terry's memory will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Quaker Gap Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Darida officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
