Terry Burden Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 1 to Apr. 4, 2021.
Terry “T-Dog” Burden, age 74 of Harrison Township, passed away Saturday afternoon at home. He was born July 15, 1946 to Raymond and Shirley (Collins) Burden in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Terry lived a life of love and laughter, he was a strong man with a big heart. Growing up in Mt. Clemens, he never ventured too far away from home other than when he was sent to Vietnam as a young Marine. He was a likable guy who enjoyed sports, music, karaoke and was quick to tell you a tale of his younger days, with many friends made along the way. He had three daughters who were his world, that he was adoringly proud of. Terry passed away from health issues that made the last few years of life difficult. Yet, he fell asleep comfortably and surrounded by loved ones. He is a hard one to forget, and the outpouring of love and support to the family has been remarkable. Surviving are his daughters, Kristin Abramowicz, Lacey (David) Monty, Caitlan (Bret) Shoener; grandchildren, Nash, Brody, Willow, Violet, Charlotte, and Van; siblings, Valerie Burden Winslow, Robin (Frank) Doyle, and Scott (Cheryl) Burden. Visiting hours are 2-7 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. Terry will be buried with Marine Corps honors at 10 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Township, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Share memories at willandschwarzkoff.com
