I am proud to know that a person of such high moral character was defending my freedom and the country we live in. The debt of gratitude owed to you for the sacrifices you made for country can never be repaid. I didn't know you personally but it would have been a honor to serve with you.

Thank God for the Marine Corps and thank God, for you Colonel Childers. Wouldnt be surprised if you were standing right next to St Peter protecting him at the gates. Semper Fi. I was in the Corps 1976 to 1982 Rest In Peace Colonel Childers.

Terry Childers was a person that if u were a friend he treated u as a friend . If he could help u he would help u, He was a smart person and help u on most anything . If i was doing something and needed advice he was always willing to give it. I will miss the times we would go to lunch on Mondays and talk cars or whatever. I am going to really miss Terry and my god bless his family
