Marcia, Kristi, Vince & Kim, We were truly shocked when we read of Terry's death in the Manhttan paper. We have thought of you many times since you moved from Manhattan. We often talk about the fun times we had with you as neighbors; Vince bringing biscuits from Kentucky Fried Chicken when he would get off work, Kim & Jill singing together, plus the many other antics they managed to get into. But,the biggest thrill of all was being with your family to welcome Terry home from Desert Storm. What an exciting day! Please know that our family is so sorry for you loss and we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

Marcia and family: My father, Ed Jochum, was a patient three years ago at GPRMC. Terry spent a lot of time visiting with me and my family. Terry was always upbeat and very supportive. As we visited, he mentioned that he lived in KCKS, I live in KCMO so it's small world. We were saddened to hear of his unexpected passing. We lost a good one, but now he can look down upon us all from heaven.

Marcia and Family,
Thoughts and prayers to all of you. Terry was a wonderful neighbor and we so enjoyed the visits, waves and teasing from across the street. I know my husband Verne is really going to miss the visits and also his collaborating with him on the "cable tv" issues. He was there for us in our time of needs and also thousands of others. Although we rejoice in the knowledge that he is with his Lord and Savior, we pray that your memories of him give you all great comfort. We feel very blessed to have known him!

Our thoughts and prayers to all of you! Not only did I get the privilege to work side by side with Terry, but I also had the privilege of having him officiate our wedding ceremony. He always had a smile and the right words for a particular moment...happy or sad. Terry, you will be missed by all whom you've touched over the many years and GPRMC has some pretty large shoes to fill! Thank you for all the memories!

Marcia and family, Terry always took extra time when he officiated funerals for people he had just met in the hospital. He made them feel comfortable and helped them through their loss. My memory of Terry will be when I was at a stoplight, and Terry drove by. I will always be seeing him in his new Corvette smiling at me over his shoulder. I don't think I ever saw him happier. I am terribly sorry for your loss but am honored to have known and worked with Terry. He will always be remembered by myself and our staff.

Marcia and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Terry was such an asset to our "family" at GPRMC, for our patients as well as our staff. Personally, Terry was a great source of comfort through a couple of traumatic situations in my family's life. I remember some words he spoke to me..."We never get over this, but we get THROUGH this". May those same words comfort you as well in the days to come. God Bless.

Terry was a great man and friend, as evidenced by so many fitting comments. I would only add that Terry helped us understand our differences and to see them as something that strengthens us. His knowledge of various cultures was shared in a respectful and unbiased manner. We are better for his having been a part of our growing hospital family and our community at large. May fond memories bring comfort to the many who mourn his passing.
