Terry Wayne Cox

Terry Wayne Cox, 56, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. Memorial service: 6:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Mansfield. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Tulsa Okla. Terry was born May 28, 1959, in Dallas. He lived in Mansfield for 48 years, graduating in 1977. Terry was a volunteer firefighter for over 15 years with the Mansfield Fire Department and then transitioned into a 911 dispatcher for the city of Mansfield until his retirement in 2013. Terry was also highly involved with his children in the Mansfield High School Marching Band and Color Guard for nine years. He loved to travel and help people in the community. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Joyce Cox; and his grandparents, Floyd and Robbie Havens. Survivors: Children, Christopher Chamblee and wife, Brittany, Catelyn Cox; uncle, Bob Havens and wife, Mary; numerous cousins; and countless friends.
