I´ve been a fan of yours since childhood, and finally got to meet him in my early 30´s at a HOH show although the line was the longest I n the building Terry took his time with everyone and spoke to both my friend and myself for 10 min. I will remember that 10 minutes for the rest of my life.

There are a few I remember watching him in may of 89 he attacked Ric Flair, before this I had no idea who the FUNKER was. I was trying to think of my favorite promo, NOT FAIR!!! About 10 years ago I was at a restaurant, he was in Vegas for a Collie flower convention in Vegas, I had to swallow my pride to get his autograph. I didn´t want to interrupt his dinner. He signed it anyway!!! THANK YOU SIR!!! RIP!!!

In 1990 I came to Canyon with Special Olympics. One little guy was truly excited that Terry Funk would be there! We let him visit with Mr Funk and then went to sit to eat. The little guy was missing and I looked across the gym to see him with Terry Funk in a head lock and rubbing his hair! Not knowing how a professional would accept a small foe, I began to run across the gym only to be met with hilarious laughter as Mr Funk pretended to be bested by a fan. His face was red and his hair a mess but he was a hero in every sense of the word! Thanks for that memory!

Thank you Terry, I became a fan during his later career I loved how real the action looked and his persona was truly larger than life. A few years after I stopped watching his cousin became my grandfather's hospice nurse she was an absolute angel of a human I asked her if what they did was real. Despite my grandpa's eye rolls she told me what Terry and Junior did was very real. It gave me peace to still call myself a Terry fan. Thank you for all the memories. Rest easy cowboy

To the Funk family, Dory jr. and all who loved Terry my deepest condolences. The man who was hardcore before there was hardcore . May you finally catch up with that egg sucking dog. Often imitated never duplicated because Terry was truly one of a kind. One of the best to ever lace up a pair of boots, from his in ring work to his fiery off the cuff promos there weren't but a handful on his level. RIP Terry Funk, Husband, Father, Brother, Legend
May the Lord bless you and keep you the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace

To the family and friends of Terry Funk ,I send prayers and condolences to you. A memory that I had back in the 70's, I was waiting on my husband to come out of the dressing room. Terry and I was talking about his family and wrestling. He told me that he loved wrestling but if he was to ever get injured he had a college degree as plan b. I followed his advice. I'm working on my bachelor's degree now. Thank youTerry for giving me great advice. Rest easy my brother .

My Melinda from Nashville Tennessee,I remember watching him wrestling, smack down come Nashville Arena we still got it downtown I started watching wrestling since 1970 at the age of 10 he is a good wrestler and be very very mystical. Sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family and I heard on SmackDown tonight. Another wrestler had a heart attack last Thursday his nickname is BRAY wyatt they announce it on SmackDown. He had a heart attack and then we lost another one. I guess it was on the same day Thursday and my heart goes out to her family and his daughter and her life. I cried when I heard the news every time I hear the rest of that first down and they put it on SmackDown. It´s just breaks my heart because it sounds like they´re my family to in my living room and watch it on TV. I am age of 58 years old. still watching wrestling and still continue to watch wrestling as long as I live. I bless you all.

I'm 45 years old and grew up watching all the territories. My father always said, "Nobody is tougher than the Funk boys!" Terry Funk bled on every continent! Watching him wrestle in front of 10,000 or a few hundred, he gave the fans his all from bell to bell. I hope he is wrestling Dusty Rhodes in a number one contender match for Harley Race NWA title with all the greats we have lost watching. He was truly the "Desperado", "the Last Outlaw" and a wrestling treasure! His legendary matches with Jack Briscoe, calling Dusty a egg sucking dog, battles in Japan, matches against Ric Flair, and slapping a horse around will never be repeated or forgotten! Condolences to the entire Funk family! God bless you all! Terry and Dory and Funk U University Forever!

Years after Terry retired from the limelight and was living a quiet private life with his lovely wife he took a moment in a restaurant to pose for a photo with my teenaged niece who idolized him. He was so gracious. I miss seeing Terry in church and hearing his heartfelt and very loud "Amens". Rest in Peace Terry
