Terry L. Martin

JOPLIN, Mo. — Terry L. Martin, age 61, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at his home following an illness. He was born July 29, 1948, in Granby, Mo., to Donavan and Margaret (Vance) Martin. He has worked the last ten years for Lab Corp. as a courier. Terry married Rayma Lacey Guthrie on Feb. 14, 1986, in Pine Ridge, Ark. She survives at the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Lee Martin, of Wellsville, Kan., and Matthew Guthrie, of Joplin; one daughter, Lacey Humble, of Pittsburg, Kan.; three brothers, Jerry Martin, of Bates, Ark., Larry Martin, of Joplin, and Johnny Martin, of Neosho; two sisters, Ramona Wormington, of Monett, Mo., and Linda Hirshey, of Diamond; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gene Martin. Terry has been taken for cremation. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at 306 North Maple Street in Joplin. Friends and family may visit at the home.
