Terry Dewayne Smith, 63, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 8, 2009. Funeral services were held Sept. 11 at the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Kirk Kirkeminde and the Rev. Ralph Reagan officiated, with burial in the family cemetery.Honorary pallbearers were Mike Smith, Todd Beaty, Toby Hilton, Greg Smith, Michael Smith and Ricky Smith.He was born Sept. 15, 1945, in Fentress County, the son of O.T. and Dora Mae Tudor Smith. He had a tremendous love of the land and spent his life farming.He also loved nature and going to the mountains. He liked to hunt and enjoyed fishing.Survivors include his son, Michael Smith; daughters Samantha and Carrie Smith, all of Crossville; brothers, James, Tommy and Kendall, all of Crossville; sisters, Irene Atkins and Panza Smith of Crossville, Faye Ayers and Sue Beaty of Cookeville, Katy Smith of Memphis, Wanda Reynolds of Indiana, Patsy Burrough of Oak Ridge and Rutie Meadows of Dandridge; grandchildren, Michael and Craig Smith, Jessie Keaton, London and Shadoe Smith and Rylee Ruth Robinson; and great grandchilden Kaleb Smith, Dawson Keaton and Gavin and Bryoen Smith.Hood Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of the arrangements.

He was a wonderful,thoughtful brother.He was a farmer all his life,was president of local farmers market for the past five years.He enjoyed watching his crops and grandchildren grow...I loved you dearly....sister Sue
