Tessa Nichole Whittenberg, 16, of Crossville, passed away March 23, 2008. Funeral services were conducted March 27 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Bro. Barry Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Old Bon Air Cemetery.

Tessa was born Feb. 29, 1992, in Crossville, the daughter of Gary Whittenberg and Angela Blaylock.

She was a student at Phoenix High School. She was a very spiritual and artistic young lady who enjoyed making beautiful and extraordinary necklaces. She also loved to read and had a passion for art and music.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Angela and Barry Hinch of Crossville; father, Gary Whittenberg of Nashville; grandparents, J.D. and Norma Whittenberg, Jay and Floy Blaylock and Brenda Hinch, all of Crossville; brother, Brett McDonald of Crossville; sisters, Danielle McDonald of Knoxville and Michelle Whittenberg of Crossville; aunt, Diana Wells of Orange Beach, AL; and uncles, Tracy Blaylock of California and Clinton Moles of Cookeville.

Pallbearers were Andy Shaeffer, Jim Spriggs, Clinton Moles, Brett McDonald, Nathan Blaylock and James Wells.

Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.

Tessa was my best friend in Crossville when I first moved to Crossville, when i first heard about her i just couldnt beleieve it, i just cant believe that i havent talked to her in so long. Im so sorry for your loss. I also wanted to say your family is in my prayers. I love and miss you Tess.
