To The Family of Thayer Christner, Please except my deepest sympathies on your loss. Mr. Christner was truly GREAT to all that knew him at Highmark. He always had a greeting or kind word for every one no matter what their level was in the company. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Our prayers will be with you all.

Dear Nan, Ed, Jim and family,
I extend my deepest sympathy to you on your loss of Thayer's every day presence and love. I truly do believe you will continue to feel his love and spirit in your hearts and that he will always be with you somehow.
I recall Thayer from his role in Marketing and Sales: he was a mentor to many, he gave opportunities to those with whom he came in contact, and he virtually enriched the lives of all who knew him. I remember him most for his kindness: it didn't matter if you were the president or the entry-level clerk ... he always acknowledged you with a smile, a wave, and a caring word.
It honored me to be included in his circle of friends.
Fondly, Patty King

Thayer and his family will be in my prayers. To attend one more party with Thayer would have to be a wonderful way to spend a winter day a party to thayer was happiness! Thayer was my mentor in sales, parties and just good old fun at Blue Cross I'm certain that Frank Miniotas,Tom Lucas and I probably added a few premature greys to a great friend ,Thayer Christner from Paul Lombardi

Dear Nan, Ed and Family of Thayer Christner,
You have my sympathy. I so enjoyed talking to Mr. Christner during my early days at Blue Cross and after retirement. He was always so upbeat and friendly. He had a wonderful life with Nan for over 70 years and the love of all his family. We so enjoyed having him at our Retiree Club's Holiday parties. I am so sorry that he wasn't able to enjoy his little party that he put together for Saturday, January 10 but happy that he didn't suffer and was at peace. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
